Coogee Bay Boutique Hotel

It was a blissful weekend to stay at Coogee Bay Boutique Hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable bed. The view was nice and we can watch the sunrise from our room. Very convenient as it was close to the beach and shops. The staff were approachable and friendly. The only missing was microwave, but it did not affect us so much as we eat out most of the time.

Amazing stay!! Check-in was super easy and the staff was extremely friendly. Lift access available. The room at the boutique hotel was very nice with a comfy bed, and very Clean!! Room amenities included a pod coffee machine with many pods, a selection of teas, sugar and milk, as well as complimentary water for the room. All of these were replenished daily, which was great. We had a room without the ocean view (at the back of the hotel), which we might recommend, as I imagine the ocean view rooms could become quite noisy due to the awesome beer garden just downstairs. We didn’t try the room service, but ate at the restaurant on the property as well as visited the beer garden/bar. What an amazing vibe! Food was great too and have an awesome selection of drinks. The hotel also has a sports bar, that has a big screen, as well as pool tables. A very big shout out to Tui who made us feel extremely welcomed and super friendly. Chatted to us very frequently, and checked in to make sure we were still OK and having a good time! What a guy!! The hotel is in a fantastic location. Approximately 2 min walk to the main Coogee beach, and the same to many other restaurants, bars, ice-cream shops, and cafe’s. Definitely highly recommended! Will certainly be staying again in our next visit!

This was my second stay at The Coogee Bay Hotel, the first time I stayed in the boutique hotel up the back and it was beautiful. This time I booked a room above the pub. I was pleasantly surprised to find the room just as beautiful as the boutique rooms up the back. The rooms are beautifully renovated and stylish and didn't feel like a 'room above a pub'. We LOVED the Tony Mott photography throughout the hotel and the Tony Mott book in the room was just a special touch and I really enjoyed flicking through that during our stay. We will definitely stay at CBH if we return to Coogee.

Last minute booking due to flight cancellation. Excellent location if you are going to the Bay to party! Perhaps therefore a little noisy for some, with a really happening front bar and front terrace. You do need to be youthful however! Even though we only stayed the night the service was excellent and all staff were really helpful. The room was fairly large and had most amenities required; perhaps a little tired, but perhaps that's me being pernickety. Overall, for the price, we had no real quibbles.

The hotel location and 2nd floor ocean view suites with balcony are wonderful, but beware booking this as its 2 flights of stairs and a long walk through the sun from the reception. No lift. And no bellman to assist with luggage at checkout time. It took me three trips back and forth carrying heavy luggage to leave. Appalling level of service for such a place. Now I’m sitting in my onward taxi having sweated through my clothes. Thanks!

We had booked for 2 nights but could only stay 1 one due to a flight delay. The room was perfect with all the nice touches to make it a great place to just chill out. It was a great location for beach and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful both through the booking process and our stay. Our only small negative was the view from the room and balcony which can't be helped. This however only added to our appreciation of the decor and in room touches that created the feeling of being somewhere really special. It was the perfect place for a mini break as we had planned but sadly we were only able to spend one night. It is on our list to return and do 'properly'.
